Max! One of my favorite through characters. A man who becomes obsessed with UFO chasing because only subconsciously does he know he's been abducted many times. The ironic tragedy in that is driven hard home in S4.

I have always thought Giovanni Ribisi is one of those actors who is super talented but never given enough to do. In this role, he not only nails the alienated teenager given power vibe but he kills the Okie accent like no one before or since.

I also remember this ep because it shows Mulder's earlier partners were lame losers. Jerry coasting on Mulder's brilliance to get ahead and counting on Mulder being a nice enough guy to let him get away with it.

I watched this ep the other day. The only thing that doesn't rhyme with our current time is that the genius creator of the AI doesn't want to rule the world/has a conscience. lol
