Yeah, I've got Foxit installed but I've been too lazy to find out why printing a Word doc to PDF always opens in Acrobat.
(pro tip: always use print to PDF cos Save As... always invokes shitty Adobe products)

Adobe Acrobat GenAI settings in Preferences. All have been turned off.
This made my day, finding this.
TURNED THEM ALL *OFF*!!!!!

I bet the smells are divine!
41st Norwich Beer Festival glass + can of Behemoth Something Hazy to fill it.
Rear of 41st Norwich Beer Festival glass showing the 1/2 pint and 1/3 pint lines.
Can't imagine there are many, if any, more of these glasses in AoNZ...

NZ needs a No Chriss march
That was my other choice!
Google maps satellite image of Kennaway Road/Vaila Place in Christchurch.
This area I've circled is not identified on Google Maps but it's the NPD fuel distribution centre in Ōtautahi. The tank farm itself is off to the left (west).
I wonder how long before they require armed guards?
I mean this respectfully¹ but fuck OFF Seymour.
¹ I don't mean this respectfully at all

Why oh why didn't we try and attract some to NZ?
Oh, that's right - National government.
Annual maintenance is *so* important.
It can be bloody annoying with its frequent "turn left, now turn right" instructions, but persevere.
Noticeboard gas struts.
Noticeboard locking mechanism.
Noticeboard front cover hinged at the top.
Situation of the Noticeboard.
Pictures for noticeboard geeks. 😁
Page warning me that the network certificate is dodgy. Do not proceed!
Went to sign in to the free WiFi at The Brewery.
Maybe not (on principle, I'm sure it's safe but....)
Noticeboards in general leak, have sliding doors and look awful. This one is hinged at the top, so the whole front opens (on gas struts no less!) and can be made weatherproof.
It's the best design I've seen. I will ask our Menz Shed to make one for the Community Centre.
A busy pub, with all the tables occupied.
Well, these guys don't care about a fuel crisis. Glad to see they are keeping hospitality alive at Cassels Brewery bar in Ōtautahi/Christchurch.
I'm enjoying a pint of Alchemy after a ride out to Heathcote to examine a noticeboard.
Screenshot of Komoot app showing junction of Tennyson Street and Riverlaw Terrace in Ōtautahi with cycleways, footpaths and roadways.
I use Komoot (suggested by Bosch cycling app) and find it *very* detailed with accurate directions & separate footpaths (black) & cycleways (green). I use with Bluetooth ear buds when riding unfamiliar routes. Will now try Transit too.
SMH AIR or SM HAIR in front of you?
3x Snap Send Solve this morning while walking the dog. 2x abandoned supermarket trolleys and 1x full rubbish bin in Ernle Clarke Reserve.
It's a fantastic system.
Bless everyone out there marching for NO KINGS DAY!
Google Finance - snapshot of the markets - Dow, S&P and Nasdaq all down by about 2%.
How's that war going Trump?

If you read one piece about the fuel situation today make sure it’s this one:

Sometimes it's fucking annoying that the NZ right wing are just the UK right wing on time delay but also, this is exactly the Shane Jones drill drill drill policy and here's evidence it doesn't fucking work

Just while this Iran fiasco is (literally) blowing up in our faces, lest we forget:
There is an untenable blockade around Cuba that should be denounced (better it is stopped of course immediately) by anyone purporting to live those "rULeS bAsEd OrDER" platitudes Western Govts love to put out.
MBIE is asking for feedback from businesses on the fuel priority bands and how you fit within them, you can:
email prioritybands@mbie.govt.nz or
complete this form: Fuel response priority bands - services.businessconnect.govt.nz/prweb/PRAuth...
I'm mildly puzzled.
Last time Trump was being really stupid, I gather Canada and Japan (and China?) threatened to dump all the bonds they hold unless he toed the line.
If that was true then, why aren't they doing it again now?
I mean, okay! I’d definitely pay to watch that live vivisection 😂 #nzpol #OneTermGovernment
Surely if #nzlabour responded to a war level response to fossil fuel volatility by committing to taking our electrical grid to 100% renewable and a plan to scale it to fulfil all our future internal energy needs they’d run away with the election? #nzpol
Yes, that's a good start. I'm sure that the Tech firms will try to run rings round these as they don't seem very quantifiable though.
Another example of urgent adaptation: a volcano blew up, created a famine of the oat crops so people couldn't feed horses/mules so they took to using velocipedes to get around (if you believe QI).
Similar to the way that running out of fossil fuels will cause us to adapt in odd ways.
Funny, I took the wrong product/correct price option too.
Then I went and looked up "potatoes" and suddenly there were 3 options.
Bet it messes with their ordering systems...
