What do women want? Oh, it is such a mystery they say, we will never know.
What this woman wants: taxing the rich.

Thanks so much! ☺️
A teal green hand knit shawl is laid on a grey blanket in a manner to showcase a cable design that runs up one side and then down the middle of the piece.
#showmeyourknits cables week! During lockdown (2020) I ordered a mystery kit from Ginger Twist Studios with the prompt word “tranquility.” This gorgeous alpaca yarn arrived with a printed pattern for Martina Behm’s Braidsmaid shawl. One of my favorite pieces I’ve ever knit.

Notice how Christian nationalists suddenly believe in the separation of church and state when Bishop Mariann Budde asks the president to be merciful, when the Pope asks the president to be peaceful, and when anyone suggests that the government should take better care of the poor.
These are so much fun! 💛
The image shows the interior of a dark blue box which holds 9 pairs of handknit socks in various colors rolled up for storage. One pair of grey socks with a blue heel, salmon-pink toe, and blue and salmon-pink cuff is displayed flat on the open lid of the box.
Sock week for #showmeyourknits & I thought I’d share a pic of my sock box containing all the handmade socks I’ve kept for myself. Less interested in knitting socks lately - I’ve had a sock WIP for a year…? But I have enjoyed knitting them so much in the past.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico is a UNESCO World Heritage Site containing over a thousand years of Indigenous history ancient ruins, sacred sites, and cultural landmarks built by the ancestors of today’s Pueblo peoples.
A hand knit shawl laid out across a bed. The shawl is triangular and features a striped pattern in teal and light gray yarn. The teal sections are garter stitch and alternate between light grey lace and light grey and teal and teal colorwork sections.
A black and white cat lounges on top of the shawl described in the first image.
A close up image of the shawl described in the first image. This pic shows a portion of the grey lace below a portion of teal garter stitch followed by a portion of slip stitch mosaic knitting with both teal and grey yarns and then teal garter stitch again.
It’s been a busy week, so coming in a little late with #showmeyourknits colorwork week. Here’s a mosaic shawl I made about 5 years ago with my late kitty Maia modeling the blocking process.

These are all so beautiful!! That mixed tape tee has been on my list for a while and. I feel so inspired by your gorgeous knitting!
A finished hand knit sock and partial hand knit sock in green speckled yarn lie on a yellow table runner. The table runner features prints of white sheep with gray faces. A white ceramic bowl with a bunny perched on the side sits on the table between the two socks and is holding the partial yarn ball.
A hand knit sweater in progress sits on a table. Underneath the sweater is a yellow table runner featuring prints of white sheep with gray faces. Resting on the sweater is a pink rubber chick decoration. The sweater is knit in dark green yarn.
My WIPs for this week’s #showmeyourknits green theme. Apparently, I’m having a green moment b/c there’s another green WIP not pictured (it’s always a green moment).

Oooooh! Lovely. 🌻
Right?! And thanks. I’m happy with how they turned out!
Thank you! ☺️
These greens! 😍💚 So beautiful. Also, love this version of the Alpine Bloom hat!
Awww. Thank you so much! ☺️
A pair of hand knit fingerless mittens lay on a wooden table next to a metal butterfly sculpture. The mittens are knit in gray yarn and feature a red and pink butterfly motif on each mitt.
My finished Butterfly Fingerless Gloves (pattern: Kimberly Porter). The duplicate stitch was fiddly in the narrow space of a mitt and got off to a very rocky start (there may have been cursing), but I persevered! Pleased with the finished product.

Let's elect people who have put gas in a car and shopped at a grocery store.
Me too! I’m a little scared because I haven’t done much duplicate stitch. 🤞
A pair of hand knit fingerless mitts in a gray speckled yarn sit on a wooden table. Small scrap yarn balls in blue, brown, pink, red, & tan surround the mitts. Also shown are the tops of yellow daffodils in a glass vase and a gnome salt shaker.

Image shows the arms/hands of a model leaning on their elbows & wearing cream colored knit fingerless mittens with orange and brown butterflies duplicate stitched onto the top of the hand part of the mitts.
#showmeyourknits this week: on the needles & inspiration.
I’m digging deep to grab the inspiration that had me starting my many WIPs rather than starting a new project. 🤦♀️
Here’s my version of the Orange Butterfly Fingerless Gloves by Kimberly Porter. Bout to begin the duplicate stitch.

Amazing!
😲 this is very cool.
😲 I’m so impressed by the number of balls you have going! And it’s gorgeous. Love those colors.

ME: omg i have so much to do today
BRAIN: best i can do is none of it so that you don't feel bad for only doing some of it
ME: that doesn't make any sense
BRAIN: don't tell me how to do my job
A hand knit sweater in progress sits on a wooden table next to a coaster that reads: “What’s fur ye’ll no go by ye.” Yarn is a dark forest green.
My #WIPWednesday also works for this week’s #showmeyourknits lace week. Here’s my progress on the Sky Cardi with its simple lace border. It’s an open front, cropped sweater & I’m loving the way the yarn is knitting up.

She also has wonderful kits on Barrett Wool Co. ☺️

9 1/2 month old grey/brown tabby kitten curled atop a cat tree on a yellow and blue hand-knit blanket.
Regrettably, I don’t have any dogs in sweaters pics (my dog isn’t a fan) for the animal theme this week, but here’s my kitten enjoying a thrown together blanket I made for her last summer. What a difference 7 months makes!

This is so great! I love Susan B Anderson’s patterns and the color with on your chicken is dreamy! I say yes to it being an emotional support chicken. 🩷
