New paper alert 🐝 led by @eockinger.bsky.social, we show that road verges are habitat for many bee and butterfly species, but not for all - ecological traits and local habitat conditions can act as filter determining which species are absent 🦋 www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

The spring mining bees often put their nests close together, and there were so many I didn’t even know where to look
Impressive mining skills
It’s spring 🌞🐝 This spring mining bee was so busy digging her nest in the ground that it didn’t mind me at all, and neither the little wasp
Today, our article "The entities enabling scientific fraud at scale are large, resilient, and growing rapidly" is finally published in PNAS. I hope that it proves to be a wake-up-call for the whole scientific community.

From Sweden to Switzerland 🇨🇭 - I am a PostDoc at Agroscope in Zürich now! 🗻 Happy to continue working with wild pollinators 🐝, but now more in an agricultural context in the new Agri4Pol project @agri4pol.eu
Maybe it is a long shot but thought I could try out the power of this platform: I am looking for a botanist with knowledge of flora/plant ecology of the Miombo woodland ecoregion, particularly trees! 🌳🌍 If so, drop me a comment or DM! 😊
One week left to apply!
🌸 Flower-rich road verges can increase the abundance of flower-visiting insects in the surrounding landscape! 🌸 Read it to learn about the role of traffic 🚗 and how we used 🍓 in our study. Check it out here: www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... with @eockinger.bsky.social
I was incredibly happy to have you as opponent! 🐝🦋🌸
Call me doctor! I had four years of amazing PhD life studying bees and butterflies with the best supervisor @eockinger.bsky.social 🐝🦋🌸 read it here: publications.slu.se?file=publ/sh...
Thanks! Species richness of cuckoo bees increased with traffic intensity, as well as parasitism rate in trap nests 🕵️♀️ keep posted for some upcoming papers!
That’s me!

A wonderful article about my PhD project 🐝🦋🌸 did you know that roadside habitats can harbour many flowers and support wild bees and butterflies? But high traffic can be problem 🚗 #pollinators #bees #butterflies
Oh hello there, my precious! Have a look at my fresh second PhD chapter 🐝🚗🦋
