Expanding my forces for GDA2, two battalions - Marie Louises of the 21e Ligne and veteran troops of the 72e Ligne are getting there. A few more highlights then they can join the basing queue. Gorgeous AB 15mm sculpts. #wargaming #spreadthelard

A brace of Aides de Camp completed for GDA2 - all the gorgeous AB 15mm sculpts. The chap in red is from Berthier's staff, quite the fancy uniform. I'll be basing these up as a batch with a few other units i've almost finished - Cuirassiers and Marie Louises. #wargaming #spreadthelard
Looks marvellous mate. Are those plants from Basing Bits?
After many a year, the old AB Napoleonic French have taken the field once more against my mate Steve's Anglo Dutch in a test game of General d'Armeé 2. Seems excellent thus far, I'm loving the focus on command and control and the ADCs, or should that be AsDC? #wargaming #spreadthelard #GDA2
Thanks mate, its and Elegoo Saturn 4k.
They're from Ramzay1945 over on Cults. And they are great.
Fresh off the printer, a troop of Sherman IIIs for my 15mm Mediterranean Brits. Every image I found had them stowed to the gunwales, so thats the look I've aimed for. They'll be painted up in a nifty Italian campaign mud/blue black scheme for O Group and BG Torch/Italy

Thanks mate. I've got a bunch to do at some stage, and youre look spot on.
Marvellous work mate - and Peter Pig are brilliant, aren't they. What colours have you used for the Denison- looks spot on.
The game looks utterly brilliant John- and large! How many units a side did you play, and did it still keep the momentum going?
A large battlefield, with distances and ranges looking closer to what the rules are representing. Horses for courses really. 2/2
Really depends what you want out of the project. For me, 15mm is the way, but then I've come to the hobby from miniature painting, so being able to personalise figures, add stowage to vehicles and tell a story with an army is important. 6mm gives a different aspect, the scale and sweep of 1/2
Thanks Pete, if you wouldnt mind, that would be brilliant.
Brilliant work Pete. What file did you use for the 6 pdr?
Thanks mate. They are BF sculpts, but...the chap with the Thompson is from Peter Pig. I've actually got quite a few of their 14th Army range, and swapped out the slouch hats for helmeted heads. Ill be using them for command, at gun crews, PIAT teams - all the stuff BF didnt have.
Work has commenced on my first big project of 2026 - 15mm British forces for Tunisia and Italy. I'll initially be doing up enough for Battlegroup, building up to a full O Group force. Pretty happy with the infantry test scheme, and with my kitbashes of the Churchill NA75s. #wargaming #spreadthelard
Brilliant stuff Steve. Any chance you could share the details of the tweaks youve made to O Group? I've a lot of AIW 15mm that has been languishing for some time.
Marvellous stuff Steve, the Mutiny is such a brilliant setting for SP2. Lovely terrain and figures.
Brilliant work mate, so much character. Those Highlanders are absolutely marvellous.
Working away at this lot of big men for Sharp Practice 2 - Durnford, Flashy, and an infantry officer. This year we'll be focusing on getting some games in set in the Zulu War and Mutiny. #spreadthelard
Well, Cancon 2026 Lard Zone is a wrap. Running our O Group 'Last Train to Krupki' game was great fun. In both games the Soviets kept thr pressure up, but were ultimately unable to bypass the German blocking positon. Thanks to MJ, Tim, Martin, Jeremy, and everyone else who joined in. #spreadthelard
Thanks Alex, I wanted something that could track the shock/suppressed, but was still blended with the tabletop. Peter Pig casualties to the rescue.
Indeed, its really very good, and has everything needed - a fencing master, inquisitions (state, Rome, and religious), cut-throat bravos, mercenary Spaniards. If you need any help with playtesting, let me know.
And some of the Germans.
Finished off this lot of 15mm figures for my O Group participation game at Cancon, 'Last Train to Krupki', set during operation Bagration. ##spreadthelard #wargaming #ogroup
Just finished reading this absolutely marvellous book. Cameron is the master of historical fiction. However, I now find myself wondering about @roundwoodsworld.bsky.social 's Flashing Blades rules. Just imagine, a campaign set in a venetian back alleys of renaissance Venice.
Table set up for some O Group tonight. Scenario is set during Bagration, with elements of 5th Panzer Division attempting to set up a hasty defence against oncoming Soviet spearheads and stop the encirclement of Minsk. #spreadthelard #ogroup
Really liking the 1944 content. Have you ever considered doing another YouTube video on tank brigade tactics but looking at 1944-45?
Nice work mate suitably disgusting looking! Here's something monstrous - the King in Yellow!
Aren't they though? And I'm uncertain how to class a princess beach, so went with rough terrain 😁
