Naked and Famous has a nice pair of jean-cut pants in duck, which is as close as we ever got to chinos. Very slim fitting and quite sturdy, not quite Jivy Ivy but also not workwear. Not sure if they still make them, but worth it if they still do and you have the scratch.

This is Winslow Stuart McCready, whom we recently adopted from a troubled household. Showed up here on a rainy Halloween night looking for food. He is a complete love.
