It was not a good sports night.

I was racing to get to a TV in time for the bottom of the 9th. I could’ve taken my time.

3rd grade—Shuttle launches were still special events gathered around the AV cart. They just stood there in shock before wheeling the cart out. Never showed a launch again. It was pretty traumatic and taught me that teachers didn’t have all the answers. My parents talked a lot that night.
