My guess is that it’s intentional to push more people toward digital.

I really wish the Switch had an option to filter the UI to show only games-I-can-play-this-very-instant. Hide the physical games that aren’t inserted, hide the games that are virtual game cards, but not downloaded yet. No Loading Bars Mode engaged!
You telling me there’s an endgame tape measure? Is it linear or tactile?
Top nine games image showing: Final Fantasy II (NTSC SNES), Super Metroid, Link’s Awakening, Metal Gear Solid, Chu Chu Rocket, Shadow of the Colossus, Fez, Breath of the Wild, Symphony of the Night
Heres my top 9. Hard to narrow it down to only 9, but I have great memories of my first play-through of each of these. Played the NTSC version of them all first, but could find matching artwork.

Thanks. I love my Twin Turbo. I first set up my AV-modded original Famicom and FDS to try to more authentically recreate the experience players would have had 40 years ago, only to discover my Famicom has somehow died since I last used it. Gonna have to open it up sometime and see what’s up.

Absolutely not random today. Gonna see if my kids and I can power through this today. #zelda40
Does it still involve replacing chips on the board or soldering in a micro sd card adapter? I’ve wanted to mod my G&W since they came out. I even picked up an extra Super Mario G&W to use in case I bricked it. But then I stuck it in my back pocket _one time_ and sat on it and cracked the lcd.
Same with Star Fox, they actually made cool stop-motion puppets for the box art. A Star Fox game with that art style would be so rad.
Aw shit, I had given up on finding a good wireless ZMK trackball to replace my ploopy classic. Now I’m all giddy about a new thing that I know I’m gonna spend at least 100 hours tweaking to make 10% better than stock.
now it’s got me
Invited my friends over thinking, “this game is gonna be so rad. they’re all gonna wanna hang at _my_ house now!” Played a few rounds before they lost interest. But we did end up spending the rest of the night (and the next couple weeks) playing Tekken 3, so there’s that.
One of my friends had a N64, and we all congregated at his place to play 4 player Mario Kart and Golden Eye. I was a PlayStation die hard. When I found out about this game I saved up for this, a multitap, and two just-released PlayStation Dual Analog (not Shock) controllers.

This week is my only non-color WonderSwan game, Buffers Evolution. Very unique platform racing game. Wish I got it for the 100¥ price on the tag.
Holy smokes man, every time I blink you have posted a new video. Really ringing out the new year by smashing that notification bell.

One of the games I picked up with my NGPC back in 1999, along with Bust-A-Move Pocket and Samurai Shodown! II.
This is the type of Gon-tent I’m looking for.
Batman: The Video Game and the Game Boy Mega Mans, especially V
Make it $33, you cowards!
if you’re interested, the Playdate SDK is free to download and includes Playdate Simulator (emulator). You can play any Playdate games from itch.io on it. Under The Castle is available on itch. dani-diez.itch.io/under-the-ca...
Yes, such a great game! Have you played Under the Castle on Playdate? It is probably the best recent game to capture the spirit of Cave Noire.
And those disc edges (or lack of) — so good!

Been very stressed about things happening in the world so I’ve been playing some Jumping Flash. It’s a comfort-food game for me. Really wish Universal City Hall would step in to take care of things here on Earth.
I have it in steam, and will get the switch physical version, and of course the genesis cartridge, when it comes out. Doing my part to support great games!
Oh yeah, I forgot virtual game cards now show that little cart icon the same as when a physical cartridge is inserted.
Huh? How did you get the physical version so early? I thought it wasn’t releasing till December.
Good news! I found a boss, so I think I’m on the right track.
Bad news! The boss is so hard, I think I need to go somewhere else first to increase my attack power.
All this talk of how hard Silk Song is got me to pick Hollow Knight back up again to see if I can finally beat it. One question, what the hell am I supposed to be doing? I have completely forgotten what I was doing. Do I just wander around the huge map until I find something?
Is that embossed leather on the spine? Beautiful!

With mouse support now in NSO SNES, it’s only a matter of time until Nintendo finally releases this little pearl outside Japan.
