Rules for selecting 'ready to recite' poems.

1. Don't do difficult or abstract.
No one wants to be confused.

2. Avoid sad poems.
Why depress an otherwise fine atmosphere.

3. Keep it short.
Respect their time.

When I was bedridden, I finally sat down and watched 'Cleopatra' (1963) in one sitting.
It was very good, but Elizabeth Taylor's performance was really outdone by Richard Burton and Rex Harrison who really carried the story.
