So close to #spring #ranunculus! These were all planted in October/November and included both new corms and corms from prior years.

The haircut thyme makes great chop and drop! I’m not sure if it’s true, but I’ve heard some moths dislike the odor.

I planted a walkway area with ground cover thyme two years ago and it was a pain to keep it weed free while it established but it’s fantastic now! I have to give it an occasional haircut!

I invited her out for coffee at a coffee shop… turns out she doesn’t drink coffee or tea. She bought an iced tea and didn’t drink it at all. Our 5 year wedding anniversary is next week!

I tried red clover this year and am already regretting it - it’s thriving in the not to cold winter. I’ve done fava beans with success, and would be interested in trying daikon or mustard greens in the future.

There is no time for fun gardening content when ICE is attacking communities without care for rights. Sending love and solidarity to everyone in my home state of Minnesota. #pnwgardening 🌱

Speaking as someone who came of age during 9/11 and the market crash, fantasy, sci-fi and romance were my balms from the very real-world issues I was also keeping track of at the same time. Sometimes you just want to curl up and enjoy the good side winning - or the girl getting the girl.

Diversity is beautiful. What an incredibly boring world it would be if we all looked, thought, ate, spoke, and acted the same. Embracing immigrants makes our communities stronger and more interesting. 🌱 #bloomscrolling #PNWgardening #fallflowers

I harvested the last of my spray mums last week and ran a small fundraiser for the small community Food Bank at my wife’s high school. We went to Costco and loaded up on requested items - SPAM, beans, soup, canned veggies and fruits, and easy to heat meals.
