Colour was an essential component of Centennial Hall from initial planning. Even after numerous modifications, elements of the 1970's palette (orange, brown, yellow, blue) remain today as eye catching splashes of colour.

An unusual tradition at Wesley College, one of UW's preceding Colleges, was the annual fight on St. Patrick's day.

While it began more informally in 1921, in most years students would form teams and compete for a piece of green cloth tied to the branches of the elm tree in front of Wesley Hall.

Another mystery in the University Relations fonds! This collection contains images taken around campus by the Media Centre, depicting various events.

Throughout the 70's there are photos of students in European Medieval costumes, but unfortunately the Archives still searching for more information.

Modern scanning produces sharable digital copies, but microforms require special equipment to view in person. While you could digitally scan a microform, the image quality is often low. As well, to save space the original documents were regularly discarded after a microform was produced.
