It’s Supercell Thunderstorm season in Tornado Alley. The towering cumulonimbus clouds, when paired with a Southern sunset, my what a sight. I even managed to capture a Boeing 777 Airliner in the distant foreground of the storm. It’s time to chase.

Mountain Wave is one of my favorite atmospheric examples of fluid dynamics. Air Mass traveling at high velocity (wind and moisture molecules) -> Displaced by large terrain -> turbulence, rotor, and downdrafts occur. This wreaks havoc on aircraft at all altitudes, with possible overspeed damage.
