End the prosecution of peaceful protestors in the UK Police have made 2700+ arrests under terrorism laws in the UK for protesting peacefully against the banning of Palestine Action. This cannot go unchallenged. The UK’s chief prosecutors must now decide whether to prosecute them. We need to urge them not to

Just fascinating to see Blair, a man whose reputation was ruined by the Iraq war, advocate joining a war that is exponentially stupider and more chaotic. How is it possible to learn nothing from the worst mistake of your life?

Reclaiming International Working Women’s Day International Women’s Day began as a protest for labour rights and solidarity. Today, activists are reclaiming its radical roots in the face of growing division and exploitation.

Let's remind ourselves of what #InternationalWomensDay is really about - solidarity and movement building to fight for fair pay for all women and for our domestic labour to be recognised. If there's one thing you do this #IWD, join a trade union: welevelup.org/blog/its-tim...

So refreshing to see @jessasatomp.bsky.social calling for a cultural shift to address the serious gaps in responding to #DomesticAbuse within the #NHS just weeks into her new role.

With women attending A&E up to 15 times before getting support for domestic abuse, there is much to be done!

Yule ≠ Christmas

Yule is one of the oldest winter solstice festivals, with origins among the ancient Norse thousands of years ago.

Although today it’s heavily associated with, and even confused with, Christmas, the celebration existed long before Christianity. 🧵⬇️

Congratulations to @jessasatomp.bsky.social on her appointment as Violence Against Women and Girls Adviser to the Department of Health & Social Care 👏

Reform of the NHS response is urgently needed and we hope this marks the start of much more collaboration between the DHSC and the VAWG sector.

Graphic stating Victim Support's services are inclusive to all

In the last few months, we've seen conversations about #ViolenceAgainstWomenAndGirls hijacked by an anti-migrant agenda that spreads myths and harms survivors.

All women and girls deserve for us to confront the reality of VAWG, so we can pave the way in ending it.

What’s really going on with AI and jobs? Record-breaking layoff reports, Amazon's mass firings, and a slump in entry level employment. Is AI behind it all?

How is AI *really* impacting jobs?

Henley Chiu, the CTO of Revealera, a jobs data analysis firm, analyzed 180 million jobs listings in 2024 and 2025, in an effort to find out. Chiu found an:

-8% drop in all jobs postings
-~30% drop in art, photography, writing jobs
-22% drop in journalism jobs

🚨BREAKING -- Five UN special rapporteurs have condemned Britain's proscription of Palestine Action as unnecessary and authoritarian.

"We are concerned at the seemingly unjustified use of counter-terrorism laws against protest activity in a democratic society", they write.

The soft pedaling language being used to describe the men in the Epstein files is enraging.

They didn’t “have sex with underage girls”.

They raped them.

Sex implies consent.

The survivors deserve better than this. Use the correct language. Say what these men did.

What autistic people – and those with ADHD and dyslexia – really think about the word ‘neurodiversity’ A new UK survey of more than 900 neurodivergent adults has revealed strong feelings about the language of neurodiversity.

“You may find it helpful to think that ‘neurodiverse’ includes everybody in the universe. ‘Neurodivergent’ refers to individuals or groups of people whose brains work differently, for example, autistic people or those with ADHD or dyslexia.” @theconversation.com

A large Trans+ Pride London protest crowd marches down Whitehall in London - a street lined with trees and historic buildings. At the center, two people hold a prominent white sign decorated with colorful raindrop shapes.

The bold, hand-painted message on the sign reads: “TRANS FEMINISM NOW!!!! YESTERDAY!!! ALWAYS!!!” The atmosphere is energetic and supportive, with diverse participants visible in the crowd.

‘Change course now’: humanity has missed 1.5C climate target, says UN head Exclusive: ‘Devastating consequences’ now inevitable but emissions cuts still vital, says António Guterres in sole interview before Cop30

Overshooting 1.5°C wasn't 'inevitable.'

We've been pushed by fossil fuel giants & governments that pander to them.

Every delay, every oil field, every broken promise made this crisis worse.

Keir Starmer, will you promise to leave Rosebank undeveloped?
