I am anxious to try making some. I received some rings for making them for Christmas.
A juvenile reddish egret standing in shallow water, body facing right, looking straight down into the water, long daggerlike beak nearly perfectly vertical. This bird is very unusually colored; he has a pale chalky blue and tan back, steel blue undersides, a reddish neck, and dark green legs. His beak is light at the base but is mostly dark overall, and you can see a reflection of the tip of his beak. The water is calm and light blue.
