Hi #kidlitartpostcard ! I’m working on a picture book about Medusa discovering her powers and learning to control them. This illustration probably won’t be in the book, but I still love it.

The lead figure is a brown-skinned elf man with long hair and an antler like crown. He has top surgery scars and wears rainbow-fringed hose with thigh high boots. He rides a massive white elk. Other figures include a tan skinned falconer, a chubby darker skinned femme archer with a fro, a knight riding a unicorn with her girlfriend riding behind her, a faun with a pan flute, a shirtless bald person with fantastic eyebrows and long nails blowing a horn, and four fey looking hounds. There is also a rainbow pastel jackalope and three rainbow pastel ravens that seem to also be members of the hunting party. The foreground is made up of Millefleur style depictions of pansies, green carnations, lavender and roses.
