Yes, he's a time lord. No, the master isn't the only renegade time lord. There's a lot of them (Monk, Rani, War Chief, Drax(was that his name?)). He ain't the master and never will be. The war chief is too submissive and breedable to be The Master. In comparison he's a beta cuck soyboy (tm).
One scene Jamie was imprisoned with some other guy talking about the loss of memory thing which was mixed up a bit nicely, but then all of a sudden he's back with The Doctor and the other NPCs.
Last thing to rant has got to be what is on everyone's mind. The music added to the war chief.
Added soundtrack is fine in parts but it's applied a little sloppily especially in the second half.
The episode was cut down MASSIVELY to make it fit in ~90m. Makes sense, it's easier to watch in one sitting, but there were a LOT of questionable jumps because of cuts.
The addition of colour was done very well, but normally that is the case with colouring of classic episodes, like with The Daleks. Added special effects let's not talk about those, some were okay, others were questionable. The shot of the chief's dome/base/thing appearing every 5 minutes was... odd.
The remaster of Doctor Who: The War Games. Probably a slight improvement of the story for being easier to watch, but reducing the overall quality of the episode.
