#TheWarGamesInColour — beautiful colourisation, as with The Daleks. But in parts it felt more like watching a recap.
New touches are fanboy-tastic, and scotching “season 6B” for a smooth transition to Spearhead is fine. Donʼt care for “War Chief as Master” but one music cue is a fun, cheeky touch.

Generally the editing and music are much improved over The Daleks.
The colourisation work is still top notch. It would be lovely to get some shorter stories colourised in full for The Collection.

It works far better than the montage-style rapid intercutting, which feels like one of those chase sequences from The Monkees (not least because music is being used to smooth over and pace the sequence). It never quite flows.

There's a moment in The War Games where they intercut two sets of characters talking about the mist that is both economical and impactful. It highlights how that kind of simple juxtaposition is largely absent from old multi-camera TV.
