Time to admit defeat and throw a towel on top for him to lay on
If you’re looking to mail a vintage computer, now is the time to stock up on shipping supplies! Pool noodles cut to size and placed on the corners of computer cases and CRTs greatly increase their chances of making it to their final destination in one piece.
New episode of DF Retro this week! Looking back at Screamer - a series rooted in 90s PC gaming! Please check it out if you get a chance!
Haha that's awesome!
Absolute flex. 🎯
I was once accused of liking old graphics cards because it was trendy
Maybe shallow people have a hard time understanding what genuine interest looks like

I have no first-hand knowledge, but I'm pretty sure modern day market research has gone from "let's figure out what people want", to "let's figure out how to make people want whatever we push on them."
Really is incredible how much its value in terms of functionality has just accumulated
#PicoGUS can now emulate Sound Blaster 16 with the newly released firmware v4.0.0! Other changes include CD-ROM speed and reliability improvements, GUS mode improvements, and more. Check the full changelog and download the release at github.com/polpo/picogu...
I looked for Usagi but of course he was gone.
I still can't get over this update and this will single-handedly obsolete my SB16 clone card in my 486 build

"I bought this."
A dull metallic rock shaped like a pointed tower, known as Terahertz
So I'm not like a big rock guy, but idk, if ever there were a rock for a computer enthusiast, it seems like one called "Terahertz" would be it
Ah crap, I think you just convinced me to spend more money lol
It has 4MB of memory, and I'm using the Picomem for storage just out of convenience. Does slow the throughput through the 8-bit bus, but I'd wager it's the amount of features on the track causing it

Skyroads on a 286 is both not great and also not nearly as bad as I thought it would be

The PowerVR Kyro series is a strange (and wonderful) series of graphics cards, and it only gets stranger when you try to fix them, as chronicled down below:
Ohhh, interesting. That Video Memory Cache Mode might be interesting to keep in mind for some of the Kyro cards I have with compatibility weirdness.
Wow, if ever there was a jumpscare as a painting, that would be it
When I said #PicoGUS wasn’t being left behind, I wasnt joking! This is a regular ol’ PicoGUS being a Sound Blaster 16, detected and working in Windows 98:
dude shut up, this is insane :O
Hey so uhhhh..... what's going on here? Whatcha got here? 👀
Oh my god I have no words 😂
