Lost Vikings 2 & Mario Is Missing for the Super Nintendo
Ratchet & Clank series for the PlayStation consoles
You can't talk about action titles without discussing Ratchet and Clank. The humor, the weapons, the combat - all epitomize the characteristics of great action games

The 3,000th Game For My Collection:
DuckTales 2 for the Nintendo Entertainment System
Prince of Persia: Rival Swords for the Nintendo Wii
As far as action entries go, I prefer the GameCube era Prince of Persia titles. Rival Swords has great fighting mechanics and the Daggertail is such a fun weapon. While not at the top of my list, this one is worth playing.
Pick-Ups from Steel Collectibles
Dragon Quest VIII & Etrian Odyssey 2 for the Nintendo 3DS
Contra, Super C & Contra Force for the Nintendo Entertainment System
One of those rare situations where the NES port is better than the arcade, the sequel is on par with the original, and the third entry is a generic shooter with one of your favorite IPs slapped on top of it.
Ah, the Contra trilogy

Kirby's Epic Yarn & Rabbids Go Home for the Nintendo Wii
Amazing Spider-Man 1&2 for the WiiU
While I'm not the biggest fan of the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies, the video game adaptations are actually a lot of fun.
Pick-Up from Tates Gaming
This gorgeous New Nintendo 3DS XL - New Galaxy Style. I've been looking for this one for FOREVER!
Ghost Rider for the PlayStation2
An amazing IP to begin with (regardless of what you thought about the movie), Ghost Rider lends itself well to an action game whether the title character is on foot or riding on his Hell-Cycle

Tons of great SNES manuals
Mega Man X 1&2
While the original MM series will always be among my favorite franchises on the Nintendo Entertainment System, the X titles (especially the first one) hold that same significance to me on the Super Nintendo

Great SNES posters - Actraiser 2, Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and NHLPA Hockey '93
Rampage Total Destruction for Nintendo GameCube
There are a multitude of Rampage games available on home console, but I'd have to say that Total Destruction is my favorite. It offers a multitude of creatures to select from and the locations are all unique.
