I was going for a more pastel look with this one but Senkuu's hair frustrated me to death. It makes no sense realistically so I had no idea what to do. Also his red eyes haha. Well I did the best I could.

Made this one with the Lilydale brush. It was pretty much a perfect fit for the more pastel vibe I was going for. A little difficult to use for those fine details but that might be a user issue. Very nice for rendering and sketching, would try again. Also great for layering and decent for blending.

I think this is the first time I did digital art of kdj. I was going to do a watercolour look at first but since kdj is mostly black and white I decided to do a more monochrome palette. The overall vibe is cold which I like.

Used Everlasting brush for this one. Another very sketchy brush that doesn't do detail well! Imo it's too sketchy for my tastes. It looks very nice for rendering. Use it to add texture. The colour also goes down darker then you would expect when painting on the same colour.

The colours were completely inspired by MassiveHams on X. I could not have thought of this on my own. But I was thinking of smth exactly like this as soon as I knew I wanted to draw Lio. Very glad to have seen their post. I think anything I learned speaks for itself, so just check it out!

Brush used was fairy wren. The sketchy look is super fun and I absolutely love the way the flames came out. Painting with the bg colour creates some nice lines too. Very difficult to do the eyes though, detail is not it's strength.

As for commentary on the art itself, I actually didn't use a reference for this one since I already had something in mind. I only wish I could've more effectively portrayed the colour black being hit by warm light. Ended up skipping day 5 as well to finish other stuff. Stay tuned!

I used the Flynn marker brush for this one. It was fun to sketch with but I couldn't figure out a good way to render with it. It's supposed to mimic a marker by becoming darker with each stroke but I thought that was quite annoying and also too dark. It becomes black so fast!

For lighting I was inspired by say0ranarts. Kind of interesting that the lighting is as bright as possible. Then super saturated colours. And even colours you wouldn't think to add. Probably because I don't have much in the bg oops. Previous days were ameriya and elodeas. You can't tell though.

Might need to give up on day 4. I was going to draw Lio Fotia. Used Goshawk for this one. Fun for rendering, terrible for fine details and rendering. It's very streaky.
