I'm so exhausted. I just spent 5+ hours going over my 687 page-long document and manually correcting mistakes (because I set the spell check from English USA to UK, given that my story takes place in London). Now all colors should be colours etc.

I feel this deeply. I want to draw again. I should draw again and design my OCs. But I can't bring myself to do it. (Especially since writing feels safer. The 670+ page document I'm currently working on is the best proof of that).

I've only just finished the second episode of season 2 of Netflix's One Piece live action adaptation, but I gotta admit, I'm having a great time.
I haven't smiled this much in a long time. 😊

My modern day AU story currently feels like I'm writing a noir crime drama (with assassins, arson and an obsessive cop who doesn't believe in accidents). I'm not complaining. I love it.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like Noibat &Noivern. The news that they will join #PokemonSleep are profoundly disappointing.
Golbat and Crobat are my favorite Pokémon of all time and now that the lesser bats will be in the game, I fear my hopes of having those two ever included are dashed. 😭

Thank you!! The entire document is at 483.446 words (roughly 610+ pages) and I write about 2000-4000 words per day. (Mind you, a lot of the document is concepts and world building too, so not just story).

Last night I finished writing a scene where my protagonist's boyfriend broke down crying and it wrecked me in such a beautiful way. To have a strong, usually composed ex-assassin cry in front of her was just so... Raw. Honest. And utterly necessary for his character development.

There is something oddly fun and fascinating about writing a purely, evil and sadistic antagonist. As much as I enjoy subtlety & layered characters in my works, I'm just having such a great time right now, writing a confrontation between one of my main characters & his former Mafia "brother".
