That feeling when you're plotting the last days of an antagonist's life and you end up feeling sorry for the tragic way they go.
I had to consciously remind myself: "listen, he physically hurt your protagonist and psychologically tormented her partner. Don't feel bad!!"

It's giving me "I'm trapped in a life threatening emergency & unconscious, but reality is bleeding into my subconscious dream state trying to wake me before I die" vibes

Or like "the me in a parallel universe is dying & I'm feeling those sensations as that reality implodes"
