Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., says the new map passed because Virginians want a House delegation that’ll stand up to Trump if he tries to steal 2026 or 2028 election—after Virginia Republicans sided with Trump on J6. He says he still favors a federal gerrymandering ban and that Republicans should join him.

Leader Jeffries (D-NY) is correct MAGA Republicans are terrified of direct democracy. They draw maps in dark, smoke filled rooms in the dead of night never asking voters to weigh in. Democrats bring the referendum to the people and the voters in Virginia have now spoken. FAFO‼️

U.S. Rep. David Scott (D-GA), who was running for a 13th term in office, has died at 80
The “primary every Democrat” folks have a real argument
The filing deadline for this race was last month. Luckily, Scott had numerous (D) challengers. If he hadn’t, we’d be sweating out a write-in situation?? In a safe blue seat!
if this place really had the juice we'd already be arguing - viciously, in ways that can never be healed - about whether a D congress in 27 and 28 should only agree to enact stimulus to forestall the worst consequences of the coming recession if trump agrees to non-economic concessions he never will
We have lost Rep. David Scott (D) who passed away at age 80. Despite his declining health, he insisted on staying in office and running for re-election for a 14th term. He spent his last moments on Earth robbing the world of progress for no other reasons than selfishness and hubris.
Speaking of, isn't James Clyburn (D-S.C.) running again? He's 85 right now.
Kalshi FILE NO: MEMBER: KALSHI RULE VIOLATION(S): FINDINGS: PENALTY: KALSHI EXCHANGE NOTICE OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION KE-2026-0003 Mark Moran Rule 5.17(z) - If a Trader is a decision maker, either directly or indirectly, or has any influence, directly or indirectly, no matter the scale and importance of the influence, on the outcome of the Underlying (event) of any Contract, that Trader is prohibited from attempting to enter into any trade, either directly or indirectly, on the market in such Contracts. The Kalshi Compliance Department established reasonable cause to believe that in November 2025, Moran was listed as a strike for the market "Who will run for public office this year?" Moran qualified as a direct decision maker for this contract and had direct influence on the outcome of the Underlying event. Moran placed ten orders in this market on November 13 and 14, 2025. Moran then announced himself as a candidate in the Democratic Primary election for U.S. Senator of Virginia on January 21, 2026. He was later added as a strike for the market "Virginia Democratic Senate nominee?" As a candidate, Moran qualified as a direct decision maker for this contract and had direct influence on the outcome of the Underlying event. The Compliance Department further found that, on January 27, 2026, Moran placed two trades in this market and then promoted the market generally on social media. All of this trading activity occurred in violation of Rule 5.17(z). The following day, during a phone call with Kalshi Compliance and Legal Departments, Moran acknowledged that these trades were improper and in violation of the Kalshi exchange rules. However, Moran repeatedly refused to resolve this matter via settlement and stopped responding to further correspondence from the Compliance Department. The Compliance Department has issued a penalty suspending Moran from direct or indirect access to Kalshi for a period of 5 years and imposed a penalty of $6,229.30, plus disgorgement of any prof…
Kalshi KALSHI EXCHANGE NOTICE OF SETTLEMENT OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION FILE NO: MEMBER: KALSHI RULE VIOLATION(S): FINDINGS: PENALTY: EFFECTIVE DATE: KDA-2026-0004 Ezekiel Enriquez Rule 5.17(z) - If a Trader is a decision maker, either directly or indirectly, or has any influence, directly or indirectly, no matter the scale and importance of the influence, on the outcome of the Underlying (event) of any Contract, that Trader is prohibited from attempting to enter into any trade, either directly or indirectly, on the market in such Contracts. Pursuant to an offer of settlement in which Enriquez agreed to finally resolve this matter, on April 10, 2026, the Kalshi Disciplinary Panel approved a final settlement where Kalshi and Enriquez agreed that Enriquez violated Kalshi Rule 5.17(z). Enriquez announced himself as a candidate for public office and was added as a market option for a contract on the Texas Republican primary election for Texas's 21st Congressional District. As a candidate, Enriquez qualified as a direct decision maker for the contract and had direct influence on the outcome of the Underlying event. The settlement further established that Enriquez purchased less than $100 worth of contracts related to his own candidacy, in violation of Rule 5.17(z). The settlement also established that Enriquez cooperated with the Compliance Department inquiry into this trading activity and agreed to finally resolve this matter by accepting the Compliance Department's conclusions, paying a financial penalty, and accepting a restriction from trading on the exchange. Under the terms of the settlement, Kalshi suspended Enriquez from direct or indirect access to Kalshi for a period of 5 years and imposed a financial penalty of $784.20. April 21, 2025
