Full shojo, fluff, and self-indulgence! I pulled some dialogue that Lich!Emmrich says for this. I think he’d come to the same realizations on his mortal path, he might just arrive there a bit later.

And ofc my piece is fully based on the painting "The Confession" by Giuseppe Molteni. I was also inspired by playing Pentiment at the time of drawing this hehehe

I love religious dilemmas in fiction where faith/vows are questioned by an individual due to love or other life-altering events. You can probably guess what my Rook confesses to him here😌

I chose this theme specifically because I'm a sucker for the "tormented priest" trope. I think it suits Emmrich well historically, if he had lived in our universe at that time. In my AU after his parents' tragic deaths, the priests who arranged their burial take him in, placing him in a monastery

Dominant color is turquoise with purple shadows. Emmrich Volkarin and Rook from Dragon Age the Veilguard make out under a statue of skeleton lovers embracing each other.

Colors grade from light teal at the bottom to yellow in the middle to a midnight blue at the top. Smoke swirls around a Rook with long dark hair as Lucanis Dellamorte embraces her from behind with his Spite wings unfurled (in a romantic way—not necessarily sexual). A bright orb like the moon or sun illuminates them from behind. None of this will make any sense unless you have familiarity with dragon age the Veilguard lol.

Rook and Emmrich from Dragon age the Veilguard look lovingly into each others eyes while decked out in wedding finery. The dominant color is yellow (gold) with a detailed foliate background.

Durge from Baldur’s Gate 3 holds a sleeping Astarion atop a bed of roses, with Bhaal’s skull watching ominously behind him. This was made for a fairy tails and folklore zine, with this image taking inspiration from sleeping beauty. The dominant colors are pink and purple with red for the roses.
