The artist used a bic mechanical pencil to create this graphite drawing of a nude model seated with legs crossed, arms draped over her legs, and staring whimsically into the distance. This 10-minute drawing is light on detail, but the artists captured the entirety of the form plus used hatching and cross hatching to give a sense of shadow where necessary. The model is a woman who had gastric bypass surgery this year and whose weight loss creates skin that folds and hangs in unique ways. The model's confidence and comfort in her skin shines through in this simple drawing.
