A black-and-white comic set in the future. The first panel shows a surveillance camera recording a robbery in a convenience store dated Dec 12, 2067. A masked man points a gun at the cashier, demanding money. Next, a poster on a wall shows a QR code and says “WANTED by GBI” with a reward of 20,000. We cut to a man driving, looking nervously in the rearview mirror. His car flies through futuristic highways into a district labeled “Under City.” He arrives at a room, exhausted, and slams the door shut. Inside, a masked man with a gun greets him: “Good afternoon, Kaelan.” Kaelan panics, saying he will get the money if given more time. The gunman calmly asks, “How much do you have?” Kaelan stammers that he has around 500,000, promising to get the rest. A screen reveals the actual total: 535,390, which “covers it.” The gunman teases him—“You should have seen your face.” He stands up, towering over Kaelan, saying there are better ways to motivate himself than gambling with his life. As he leaves, Kaelan slumps down, whispering, “All for nothing…”
