Quite impressed by Chris Kelly's #OtherPeople. There are many cliches in terms of the narrative, but it is well written and very well acted, and does end up being an effecting experience. #2017CatchUp #Film2017

Plowing on with my #2017CatchUp. Last nights film was James Gray's #TheLostCityofZ. For me, a very interesting but flawed film. Beautifully put together, Darius Khondji's cinematography a joy. However, chock-full of representational problems. #Film2017

The #2017CatchUp continued apace with Yorgos Lanthimos’ disquieting #TheKillingofaSacredDeer. It needles familial anxieties with surgical precision. #Film2017

#SuperDarkTimes is a very strong debut from Kevin Phillips. It has a wonderful use of atmosphere and manages to be surprisingly eerie. I am partial to a coming of age period piece though, so perhaps I was predisposed to enjoy this / overlook the cliches. #Film #2017CatchUp

My #2017CatchUp continued with @hopedickle's wonderful 'The Levelling', an intimate study into loss and guilt, told with precision. #BritishFilm #Film2017

Thanks @CUBECINEMA for a wonderful screening of 'The Disaster Artist' this evening, the crowd were clearly loving it. Enjoyable film, and behind the laughter a few uncomfortable questions arose. #TheDisasterArtist #2017CatchUp #Film

#TheFloridaProject is an outstanding piece of cinema, what an incredible director @Lilfilm is. I urge everybody to seek it out. Such joy, such sadness, such humanity. This one is going to stay with me a while. #Film #2017CatchUp

Wow, Timothée Chalamet's performance is extraordinary and, for me at least, Guadagnino's most assured work to date. #CallMebyYourName #Film #2017CatchUp
