『Peter Hujar's Day』感想。
監督としてはどちらかというと1970年代のNYCの生き生きとしたアートシーンの一風景の記録という意味が強そうで、なんでインタビューの再現をこんな豪華キャストで映画化する必要があるのかと思うひと（特に映画ファン）はいそうだけど、すごく上質な二人芝居を見ている感じは個人的にはとても満足感が高い。ほんとタッチが上質なんですよ

2025年のロンドン映画祭まとめ。
今回は8本見てまあまあの打率かな。狙って見るものとほぼ闇鍋と半々程度が疲れなくていいかもしれない（闇鍋が多いと疲れる）。
今回はなんか記憶に関する映画が多くなった。映画祭って適当にチケットを取った映画同士に意外な関連が生じるのがおもしろいね

Redoubt:
Story about a man affected heavily by "in case war came" pamphlet in Sweden (I didn't know this based on the real person). Visual and sound design striking and Denis Lavant phenomenal.

A Pale View of Hills:
Some ppl say the similarity with Fight Club and I agree in a good way. Very beautiful film, with weirdness as all ppl but Niki speaks with very vague memory. Or this is what Ishiguro's novels make strangely crafted.

Orwell: 2+2=5 :
Similar kind of elegant study about George Orwell to I Am Not Your Negro (both by Raoul Peck). I like his perspective is more about imperialism rather than left or right. A bit focused too much on US but is it inevitable?

Charming doc about football ultras. Nice to see the process of making tifo/choreo. Maybe a bit short and scattered?

Dry Leaf:
Notoriously low-res visual quality. I'm not sure that my impression improved if this was a better resolution. Also not sure about some direction choice like some characters with dialog never shows and just voice.

Peter Hujar's Day:
Re-imagination of interview of Hujar by Linda Rozencranz in 1974. More like theatrical 2-handler and this is the film to see craft of Ben Whishaw and Rebecca Hall (and it is enough for worth watching)

John Lilly and the Earth Coincidence Control Office:
Fairly interesting and a bit Adam Curtis-iy documentary. Obviously Japanese play a villain on this subject and I even enjoyed it
