And that’s a wrap for March. Today’s high topped out at 79 so today’s color was Day Lily. First pic is March, second is the entire year so far. It measures a little over 2’ so far. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶
Saturday through today
The crazy month of March so far
Got caught up on the temp project. Turns out the greens were both still attached so that’s a couple less tails. But they’ve been cut now because the odds of them being needed again before fall is slim. #2026TP
Just opened the bundle that is the temp project in progress. This is the back side. A dark grey ball of yarn and 5 quart sized baggies with various colors of yarn are on top of it.
got up to stretch and give all the kids treats in the hopes that they then fuck off and take naps. It’s WAY past time to get out my stress knitting (AKA the temperature project). Left 4 colors attached hoping they’d come up again soon enough. Sigh. Time to make more tails. #Knitting 🧶 #2026TP

Days 80 - 86
Mar 21st - 27th
It’s another Friday and March, with its crazy weather, is almost over. I gotta say, on their own, I’d probably never pick most of these colors. But together, with all the inherent randomness, I’m smitten. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️

Am caught up again. In the close up you can see the halo from the Kidsilk a couple days ago. We might get to the pink again in 10 days or so… #2026TP #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️
It’s time to figure out which colors get used for yesterday and today and put this in my lap for stress knitting… When I’m not working on it, the attached yarns get bundled up inside it. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶
Today and the past 10 days
The month of March so far
Got caught up on the #2026TP. Today is Jake’s birthday and the copper Kidsilk Haze he picked out goes perfectly with today’s temperature based color, Shrub. Yesterday it was 80. Only 5 days before the temp topped out around freezing. Go figure. Spring in PA. #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️
This week
All of March
Can still (just barely) get all the way back to Jan 1st in the frame.
Days 73 - 79
Mar 14th - 20th
Spring is about to be sprung and hopefully the coldest color we’ll see for a while is green.
#2026TP #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️
Got caught up on the temp project. Can’t wait to see what level of cold level of blue we hit tomorrow and Wed. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️

Mar 7th - Mar 13th
I’ve been thinking of this week as false Spring but I think it’s just early. Temps are supposed to dip back down over the next week but they start climbing again after just a couple days. Meanwhile, the equinox is almost here…
#2026TP #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️
I’m working on yesterday’s temp project rows. Every day I’m struck by the colors of this piece. This section of false spring is such a beautiful tease of what’s to come. I can’t wait till we get to my favorite colors…the pinks (75-89F) and reds (90+F). #Knitting #2026TP 🧶📆🌡️
Got caught up on the #2026TP. I’m loving the color changes as the weather warms up. Amazingly, a week from now the high temp is predicted to be below freezing again. Sigh. 2 steps forward and all that. #Knitting 🧶
Got Sat and Sun done on the #2026TP today. Not completely caught up but should get there tomorrow. The temp hit 71 today so even if only another false Spring, we’re seeing warmer and warmer temps and I’m loving the color changes. And I’m still poking along on Kim. #NightlyProgressReport #Knitting 🧶
The past week
All of Feb up through today
Days 59 - 65
Feb 28th - Mar 6th
It’s been a wet and wild week. Lots of rain, February is over, a birthday yesterday, and it looks like this might have been the last we see of the blues until late fall. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️
Today’s birthday and high temp means I’ll hold Emerald Kidsilk Haze together with L & L Baby Leaves. #2026TP And it’s raining so more eyelets.
They’ve all been added to their individual bags and the blue is at the bottom. With the exception of the colors for the extreme temps, I’ve got 80g of each color now and at the end of the year I’ll make notes of how much was needed for each temp range. Meanwhile, this bag is full! #2026TP
One hour meeting means I’m all caught up on the TP. #2026TP #Knitting #StressKnitting #AuDDKnitting #KnittingIsMyStim 🧶
Close up of the temperature project showing the first two days of March, the two garter ridges that separate the months, and the last five days of February.
Finished another day. Pain is significant but nowhere near as bad as yesterday. I did manage to stress knit Sunday and yesterday’s temps though so maybe I’ll catch up tomorrow. Time to find a show & get back to Kim 2. #ChronicPainWarrior #KnittingSoIDontKillPeople #2026TP #Knitting 🧶
Leo with the temp project around his neck
He laid down with it on him like a cape and contemplated munching on the baggie holding the Soot.
He wants you to know he’s helping. #LeoCatstoy #Cats #2026TP
That’s a wrap on Feb
I’m really loving the recent color changes as Spring approaches
Here’s the whole thing so far
If you can see the stitch markers on the needle, there’s 50 stitches between them. The entire thing is 270 stitches wide.
No, I’m not stress knitting today. Why do you ask? Finished Feb. #2026TP #Knitting #StressKnitting #GetBackToWork
Managed getting Saturday’s stitches and half the end of the month stitches done today. Guess I’ll be working on this every day this week. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶 Forecast is calling for snow tomorrow, maybe Wed, and then rain and warming temps. Can’t wait to see what it looks like.

The week started out with a winter storm but temps just crossed 50 today. Looks like next week could be rain almost every day.

Temps are supposed to dip back into the 30s and maybe even bring a little more snow over the next 4 days but other than that, we look to be heading into spring. Here’s pics of this past week and all of February so far. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶🗓️🌡️
Days 38 - 44
Feb 7th - 13th
We had one bitterly cold day and now it’s warming back up again. Might even get close to 60 next week. Regardless, I love how the colors are playing out so far.
Happy Friday the 13th!

Every time I pull this project out, it’s so strange because it still weighs nothing. After finishing last year’s project, and feeling the heft of it when I pulled it out, this just makes me laugh. I’m sure that will start changing this summer. #2026TP
Days 31-37
Jan 31st—Feb 6th
I’m starting to get an idea of how much yarn I might need in each color. Placed an order today that will hopefully put me at what I need for the whole year.
No snow or accumulation in the forecast today but I watched flakes fall so eyelets it is.
#2026TP #Knitting 🧶🗓️🌡️
Here’s what it looks like when I get the TP out. I’m keeping each color in a labeled baggie. That way all the mini skeins are together and it’s easy to just open the corner. Based on the projected forecast, I’ll carry 1 or 2 colors of they might be used again within 3-4 days. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶🗓️🌡️

January so far
This past week
Today was a Pretti Good day for a strike.
Days 24-30
January 24th-30th
We’ve had our coldest days of the year and a bit of snow. The Plum Jam is for when the high temp is 20F and below (-6C and below). The Lilac is for high temps of 21-24F (-5 to -4C)
#2026TP #Knitting 🧶🗓️🌡️
So far, January is measuring at 7”. I’m going to be putting 2 garter ridges of Soot between the months. My best guess on finished length is 7’9” but it could be a bit longer if we get a lot of precipitation. #2026TP
