Did a small map using #dungeondraft and 2minutetabletop hexes.

I required modern/mildly-futuristic maps which are in very poor supply. Normally I simply purchase what I need from #2MinuteTabletop, they're great. But their modern assets are a bit thin on the ground (the biggest TTRPGs are fantasy, after all).

Weekly Game Snippet!/6

The party reaches the Cairn Ranger Outpost, now also home to a cadre of training warrior wizards.

Great fun working with #2minutetabletop 's assets to create depth in these multiple floored maps.

Virtual Tabletop Battlemap for Dungeons and Dragons, through Roll20. The map shows a cave lair entrance, covered in red leafed undergrowth. Atop the cave is a dryad figure, and it front of it, a larger more imposing one wielding a magical spear.

In front of them rise standing stones, surrounded with piles of bones in a muddy pit. Its here at four heroes fight each other, a Bugbear, Goliath, Dryad and Shifter (Wolfman).

The Bugbear and Dryad are now dead. A Blood rain has begun to fall, and the pit of bones has filled with the bloody rain.

It expanded the story for the campaign with fresh points of view, gave impetus to the wider narrative, and allowed us all players to have fun in a big old brawl.

The maps I created with @megasploot.bsky.social's #Dungeondraft software, using some assets from #2minutetabletop, on @roll20.net.

Another map! I posted about Vengarl yesterday, and this is the battlemap he was fought on. Making his throne on a collapsed spiral staircase, his beady, crimson eyes hungered for a challenge.

As always, assets are from 2-Minute Tabletop!

Map post! This was the venue for the final battle with Jackal, in the schism-domain of his patron, which fractured at the seams the more desperate he became to win.

All base assets I use come from 2-Minute Tabletop, I frankenstein the rest.

This is the final battle with the Cult of Rakdos, in their Fortress of Fun. Masses massacred, the stench of decay, cackling jesters and fountains of gore awaited the party --yet they prevailed.

This was the penultimate chamber at the bottom of the Elocated Sepulcher, where it connected to the Drifting Veil (afterlife). Here, the party fought a master Necromancer and his undying servants, in a bid to save the country from the thousands upon thousands of undead he would otherwise gain from the tomb.

Today I figured I'd share some of the maps from my campaign! These could not have been possible without 2-Minute Tabletop, whose assets I've ripped, snipped and recolored in various ways over the years to elevate my D&D experience!

Cairn's Crossing as it was at the start of my campaign.

Cairns Crossing was established at the end of the time of Conquests, or the Years of the Generals as it is known in the annuals of the Grand City of Chautous. That is now generations past. Chautous' role has changed on the world stage. Some of its outposts still survive, but this one, on a long forgotten border, set to defend against a war that never came, is falling into the mist of memory, a smudge on long ignored and now pointless maps. Cairns Crossing is a village at the edge of civilization.

Most of the original guard force of its watch camp and fortress have long past, and their children now make up the majority of the village folk, mixing with the original settlers who came with the military column. Some few still maintain the tall wooden walls of outpost, remembering the battle at the edge of an empire that was fought there. Some do it for pride. Some, to defend their village from the monsters, and roving heroes that travel through it. A few, well a few, keep it for when they look at the cairns built on and by the river. They remember the stories of why those cairns were built, and the battles that led to them.

Few travel the road to this tiny village. A town lays before you reach it and its river, some days travel to the East. Heroes, explorers and the like are the most likely to wander down it, besides a few merchants. Cairns Crossing is the last placed marked on the maps.

The main hub of this campaign is the border village, and now town of Cairn's Crossing.

#2minutetabletop and #Dungeondraft are what I use as the basis, before taking my maps into #photoshop.

These are great and my players love them, but I wanted to do something more...
