101. Sneakers. A nineties action thriller with a stacked cast. I first saw this on TV in the mid-nineties, then couldn’t remember what it was called for ages. But then I managed to find it again, and had just as much fun with it as an adult. It’s superb. #365films

104 - The Muppet Christmas Carol released in 1992. An annual holiday classic for me. Michael Caine is perfect in this movie playing the straight man against the Muppets.

103 - Sneakers released in 1992. A 30 year old technology thriller that feels relevant still today. An absolutely amazing cast. One of my all time favorites. The speech at the end is just as relevant today as it was then, maybe even more so.

100. Raging Bull. Proof that even if I don’t like a particular sport, I can enjoy a film about that sport. A superb De Niro performance, and excellent direction from Scorsese make this one of the great boxing movies. #365films

102 - Patriot Games released in 1992. Harrison Ford takes over the role of Jack Ryan in this political action thriller. Small roles from James Earl Jones and Samuel L. Jackson that add to the movie.

101 - Batman Returns released in 1992. Not sure it is better than the first, but definitely different. Broadens the character for sure. Another Burton, Elfman, and Keaton combo movie.

99. Star Wars: The Last Jedi. A divisive Star War, yes. But I’m firmly in the love it camp. I think it takes Luke Skywalker’s story in a genuinely interesting direction, and Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are both superb. It’s not perfect, but for me, it’s up there with Return of the Jedi. #365films

100 - A Few Good Men released in 1992. Maybe the better of the Tom Cruise Navy films, which is saying a lot. Cruise vs Nicholson was an amazing scene. An amazing cast of actors.

99 - Toy Soldiers released in 1991. One of those movies burned into my brain via watching it on cable so many times. A good cast of young actors. Bad kids sent to a boarding school that is attacked by kidnappers.

98. Lost in Translation. One of those films that isn’t plot, so much as vibes, I guess? I love it though. It’s shot beautifully, has a lovely soundtrack, and great central performances from Bill Murray and ScarJo. #365films

97. The Searchers. There are a lot of westerns out there. You can have a lot of fun with a western, or you can do something different, and make a genuinely brilliant film, with something to say, which might have the only John Wayne performance worth watching. #365films

98 - The Rocketeer released in 1991. A comic based sort of super hero film. Not exactly great but I enjoyed it, and Jennifer Connelly.

96. Thunderball. For a while, I said this was my favourite Bond. That’s largely because of some cool underwater sequences, and a bunch of sharks. These days, it’s not top of my list, but I am still fond. #365films

96 - The Addams Family released in 1991. Introducing these characters to a whole new generation with an amazing cast. Way better movie than I think anyone expected. One of Christina Ricci's breakout roles.

95. The Secret of Nimh. For years, this was a film I knew I’d watched when I was very young, but could only remember vague images from. Then I watched it again last year, and it’s so good. One of the most beautiful animated films I’ve seen, with a fantastic voice cast. Bluth’s best? Maybe. #365films

94. Chasing Amy. Is this film problematic these days? I’ve seen people on both sides of the argument. And sure, the sexual politics are questionable, at best. But there’s also a comedy film in there with some bite, that tells a moving story. And late teen/early twenties me loved it. #365films

93. The Lord of the Rings. No, not those films. The 1978 animated version from Ralph Bakshi. Now, sure. It’s only half the story, and some of it looks poor (looking at you, the Balrog). But there are moments here that are genuinely stunning, and it has an excellent voice cast. #365films

92. John Wick Chapter 4. Other than the first, I’ve said each John Wick should be the last, as I don’t see how they can continue the story, or improve on the stunts. And every time, they prove me wrong. Chapter 4 is superb. In particular, John going up those stairs is an amazing sequence. #365films

95 - Terminator 2 released in 1991. A near perfect action film. The Guns and Roses video was on MTV for years. I snuck in as a 15 year old thanks to a friend's sister being ticket taker. Arguably this is the movie that started James Cameron's blank check era.
