Picture of the finished Turbomotive locomotive. The chassis and tender are from a Triang Princess class locomotive, while the body shell is 3D printed. The loco is sitting on my layout.

A screenshot of my Princess Anne locomotive, rendered in Blender. This more conventional loco is what the Turbomotive was rebuilt into, after components of the steam turbine failed. The loco has alterations such as a raised running board with a lack of wheel splashers, coronation class cylinders instead of the turbines it had before, and a single funnel instead of the double one.

I wanted to give an update on the Turbomotive. The final prints are done and the parts are fitting nicely. It should just be the documentation to do, and then release on #Cults3D. Meanwhile, I'm working on retooling the design for the rebuilt Princess Anne. #modelrailway #3Ddesign #3Dprinted

As much as I loved designing my own chassis for my #3Dprinted projects, it takes a lot out of me. Spending months trying to fix issues with the mechanism and prints failing. Making shells for pre-made chassis has invigorated my love for the hobby and given me a ton of ideas that I want to start :)
