The final instalment in our #40YearsofAP series – the wonderful JoJo and Gran Gran! Inspired by characters created by Laura Henry-Allain MBE, this multi-award-winning show celebrates that special relationship between a grandparent and a child. 1/3
We couldn’t do a #40YearsofAP series without highlighting our work on the one and only Sesame Street! We animated Sesame Workshop’s first animated special, The Monster at the End of This Story and spin-off YouTube short, as well as creating segment animations for the Sesame Street series too. 1/2
Produced by Sesame Workshop in partnership with Warner Bros Discovery, with animation by our team here at A Productions, it launched on Max in 2024 and is also available on Sky Kids in the UK and in Ireland. 2/2

The Tweenies
As we look back on #40yearsofAP, we have to give a special mention to The Tweenies! Creating the animation for this hugely popular and iconic pre-school show was game-changing for us as a company. 1/2
Children’s TV may be our mainstay – but we are a versatile bunch! Anyone remember the music video for Madonna’s Dear Jessie? Released from her album Like a Prayer in 1989, the animated video was produced by Animation City, for whom we created some of the animated sections. #40YearsofAP
The A Production's 40th Anniversary Party
We had a wonderful time celebrating A Productions’ big 40 last week!
Thank you to everyone who came along to mark this special milestone. We are so proud of our incredibly talented team, both past and present.

Calling the Roger Red Hat generation! This well-known reading scheme of the 1990s, featuring Billy Blue Hat and Jennifer Yellow Hat, was brought to life in a children’s TV 40-minute special, The Village with Three Corners, which we worked on for HarperCollins. #40YearsofAP 1/2
Next up... Rubbish King of the Jumble! This children’s 2D animated series, made for CITV and narrated by Alexei Sayle, featured an overfed cat named Rubbish and was the first full series A Productions worked on in the 1990s – so it definitely has a special place in our hearts. #40YearsofAP
Household names such as Cuprinol, Chewits, Strepsils, Edam, Pritt Stick, Golden Syrup and Glade to name but a few. Our #40YearsofAP series continues next week! 2/2

We’re taking a little trip down memory lane to celebrate our 40th birthday. Today, we bring some of the world’s best-loved children’s characters to life in animated TV and film. But did you know, over the years, we had a hand in creating animation for a string of TV adverts too? 1/2

The A Productions Crew
Here we are today – 40 years since it all began! 🎉 The world of animation has certainly changed a lot – but one thing remains the same: a studio taking pride in creating stand-out, authentic content that inspires, entertains and educates children and their families. 1/3
