Week 15 - Babies
Sorry, I don't have any babies in my life right now. Here's some baby leaves for you, though.

Week 14 - Textures and Patterns
"Patterns and textures can be found everywhere, not only in nature, such as on wood or ice crystals, but also on house facades, fabric, or sidewalks. Seek and you shall find."

Week 12 - Spring
Melting snow evokes the anticipation of spring as much as any bird or flower, revealing the still-green grass and last autumn's leaves that it had kept hidden.

I don't know if this fits the bill or not. The sunlight caught by the bricks, revealing their texture which is invisible on the rest of the wall in the shade, seemed like an example of negative space to me. It's a cool shot either way.
Week 10 - Negative Space
"It should be planned and have intentional effects like surprise or illusion."

Week 9 - Children
I don't have any kids of my own, and my nephews and my friends' kids are all teenagers now. So, I went to my archives and found this image of my nephew Austin, shot July 4, 2012 with a point-and-shoot film camera.

Week 8 - Black and White
"...When shooting in black and white it helps to think in terms of black and white, then you focus on less, because in black and white photography, less is more."

Week 7 - Love
"Capture love the way you understand it to be, whatever form that may take..."
This keychain is from one the first dates I went on with my girlfriend. It reminds me of the resonance I felt with her that evening.

Week 6 - Clouds
With the weather being as uncooperative as it was this week, I pulled this shot from my archive to meet this week's challenge. Captured in 2012, this remains the most beautiful sunrise I've ever witnessed.

Week 3: Window Light
"Positioning relative to the window is important... Play around with the possibilities: lateral position to the window, window behind the model, direct light from the window, etc."

Week 2 - Family
A candid moment: in their well-lit dining room, my parents build a puzzle they received for Christmas.
After shooting, I took it into Snapseed to warm the colors and add some digital lens blur to the edges.

Week 1: Shadow
Most of Week 1's days had cloudy or snowy weather, but just before dusk on New Year's Day, I noticed sunlight streaming through the windows of my parents' bedroom. This image of Mom's dragon figurine became an instant favorite.

My ever-thoughtful girlfriend presented me with a challenge this year: 52 of them, to be exact. I'll be posting the results, so watch this space ๐
