Watching the western classical music adjunct to #60at60 and it’s everything I’d hoped the other show would be, albeit in a narrower genre. Loads of wonderful archive, really knowledgable captions and astonishing performances demonstrating the threadbare nature of modern BBC Two.
This is what happens when you’ve cut your music coverage to the bone, #60at60 only has fucking Jules Holland or Glastonbury coverage to choose from. Look at the variety of sources for pre-90s tunes compared to the more recent stuff, if you’ve not done Jules or Glasto these days you never happened
Under current circumstances, that was better than nothing at all, but still could've been much better.

And that’s it. Goodnight #60at60
Well, that was fun! Thanks guys! #60at60
I didn’t tune in until late, but did #60at60 feature much from the Old Grey Whistle Test?
Surprised they didn’t finish this off with Squeeze #60at60
Shoehorning Jools Holland in even at the end #60at60
Comment of the night #60at60
Why did one show almost singlehandedly dominate music performances on BBC Two for so many years and why did it feature Jools 'Boogie Woogie' Holland? #60at60 #BBC2
Oh fuck off Jools #60at60
Whale meat again 🐳 🥩

Looking a bit Thatcheresque so certainly a challenging wank but I'll give it a go.
There's a case to be made for Vera Lynn being part of the world's first synthpop duo with the original version of We'll Meet Again recorded in 1939. #60at60 #BBC2
I’ve seen Vera Live!
#60at60
Wow Bowie to Dame Vera really is quite the gear change. You can hear it crunching. #60at60
Vera Lynn lived until she was 103! #60at60
If my maths is right, Glastonbury 2000 is roughly halfway between the original release of "Heroes" and now. #60at60
Just remembering the world went to pot when David was taken back to his home planet. 😭 #60at60
"Two days later, Bowie and the very same band played..." well, yeah, it wasn't The Fall. #60at60
We join "Heroes" already in progress... #60at60
Thank fuck Bowie is on! #60at60
