WOAH WTF. A new Ascian appears and confronts Ironworks directly. and its... Xala? She introduces herself as Hecate and starts choking G'raha. Giving him a warning to stop fucking around. Xala's body was never found after the Calamity, what happened to her to make her go Ascian? (A lot. Death of the Light Party, captured and experimented on by Garleans. "Abandoned" by the Eorzean Alliance (they didn't know she was alive, but Garleans made her believe that they knew but didn't care.) Basically a perfect situation for Ascians to manipulate her into what they needed, a catalyst for Black Rose.)

Flavia and G'raha reminiscing near the view of the Crystal Tower. Among the few still alive who were around before the 8th Umbral Calamity.
Previous Alt text, different angle. G'raha with his eyes closed in thought. Flavia, greyed from stress and loss, the current head of Ironworks.
Only two left... or are they? #TeamFuture #8thCalam
Aro and Xil'to Epocan with Zhai'a Nelhah readying to battle against a group of kidnappers (offscreen). From Xil'a recollecting: "I was lucky compared to most when it came to growing up in the Calamity. My Father and my Clan hid how cruel the world had become for many winters. Until one day when bandits taken me. My Father, Aunt, and Grandfather went to my rescue, but it went wrong."
Zhai'a Nelhah is trying his best to heal Xil'to's wounds but its too late. He's dying. In his last moments he is comforting his only grandchild, who will later take the name Xil when he transitions later in life in honor of him. From Xil'a: "My grandfather wounds were too deep for Father to heal, but he was just relieved to see me unharmed. I think the reason why I named myself Xil'a years later was a deep need to honor him..."

Xil'a Nelhah on a linkpearl call with Flavia. He isn't permitted to go near Alexander but fuck it we ball. He says to her, "You know damn well that Alexander is going to hold the key to fixing this. We have to get around to this sooner or later. I- Seven hells Flavia, its not like I'm going to go in there! I'll be fine."
Starting to feel guilty he says back, "I know... See you when I'm done with my evaluation."
Looking at the entrance he thinks out loud, "Still appears to be dormant... its seals are holding strong." Moments before getting yeeted 20+ years into the past.
