We called #988hotline when we were terrified of losing some one we dearly love & the system completely failed us. Caution when calling 988 & never call police, find a #MobileCrisisUnit. People say —you should do something when they see a problem, but they end up in jail or dead by cop when you do.

One of our greatest regrets when our loved one was going through a mental crisis episode is calling #988hotline for help. It's a conduit to 911 nothing more. It's #PR for mental issues for a system that completely failed us. Telling us to call 911, officers were not trained in mental health issues.
