ICYMI: A3.business launches in Taiwan and a new language A3.business has just launched our first cohort in the nation of Taiwan. Orientation was held just recently for about 15 men and women from the marketplace. Starting in a new country for A3 is more challenging because the leaders have never seen what A3 does and don't have people they know who have been a part of one of our deep learning communities. But, the participants in this orientation were perhaps the most senior-level group as a whole we have worked with in any country. They are owners and c-suite leaders of major companies with years of experience. Still, at the end of the orientation, we heard the same response we so often hear in every country we enter... "This is exactly what we need." Sharing with the group in Taiwan were three marketplace believers from the United States: * Emmanuel Fan shared about connection and discipleship, how to have transformative relationships and reproduce leaders in the marketplace. * Jonathan Cheng shared about leadership with integrity, especially how to choose who you invest in based on values. * Also sharing was Will Nicklas who used his own experience as an executive with Toyota to talk about being Christlike leaders. This is our first Mandarin-speaking cohort. Mandarin is the second most spoken language after English, according to a top language learning service, Berlitz. Session 1 will be in November 2024, so you can be praying about this first cohort launch. We will report on how things are proceeding in this new country. At A3.business we are excited about connecting marketplace leaders in vibrant communities that can help break down the sacred/secular divide with the transforming message of Jesus Christ. Our process is centered around the belief that a Spirit-led community can change the culture of an entire nation—virtually anything—toward Christ's purposes. Elliott Snuggs

Agile Leadership A Transformative Weekend in Latin America This past weekend marked a watershed moment for the A3.business cohort in Latin America. This was our third session in the 18-month leadership journey. So the A3.business participants gathered in Puembo, Ecuador for a time of deep learning, personal transformation, and Spirit-filled community. At the heart of the weekend was Karen Hung, Founder/CEO of Silver Rock Consulting. Karen, whom I first met years ago in Korea through A3.business, A3’s Christian marketplace leaders' initiative. Karen brought her wealth of experience to bear with remarkable clarity and grace. Karen introduced us to her powerful framework, “The Arc of Transformation,” which charts the pathway for organizational and personal growth through the lens of cultural understanding and agile leadership. She challenged us to embrace the tension between honoring the past and boldly shaping the future. In her words, "Agility is the new stability amid ambiguity."  — KAREN HUNG It was a prophetic reminder that leadership today isn’t about having all the answers, but about cultivating the posture and practices to adapt, serve, and transform. “Karen’s ‘Arc of Transformation’ methodology provided us with a powerful framework for organizational growth—catalyzing culture and understanding agile leadership as believers who desire to transform cities and nations.” “Thank you, Karen, for generously sharing your expertise—not only as a trusted advisor to global firms, but as a mentor to smaller companies striving for meaningful impact.” But this wasn’t just a training weekend. It was kingdom leaders pursuing their calling in the marketplace. Elliott Snuggs, reflected on the depth of the cohort's engagement: “We started it off with each participant reflecting on what they had learned so far in this journey. It was amazing to hear: ‘I could have never imagined having this kind of input into my life 9 months ago.’ ‘I’ve had a complete breakthrough in my business relationships as I’ve implemented what I’ve been learning.’” Beyond the insights and strategies, there was something more—a sacred sense of presence. The cohort laughed, wept, and prayed together. “The presence of the Holy Spirit was clearly evident,” Elliott shared. The focus of the weekend, “equipping leaders to integrate Christ-centered wisdom with cultural and organizational intelligence, forming resilient, agile leaders for a rapidly changing world,” reflects the heartbeat of A3.business to build and sustain Christ's marketplace leaders around the world. May this be the beginning of a movement of Christian business leaders across Latin America who lead with vision, serve with humility, and create life-giving workplaces that transform communities—in the power of the Holy Spirit. For more servant leaders in the marketplace, Marcelo Pazos Hernández --- Marcelo is an expert in international relations, negotiations and market access. He has experience in Asia and Latin America developing businesses and supporting trade negotiations and diplomacy. Marcelo leads A3.business efforts in Latin America.     Editor's Note: A3.business is deeply grateful to Karen Hung for her investment and to Marcelo Pazos for his excellent leadership, and to the A3 team, including CEO Joe Handley, for laying the foundation for what is now the first Latin American cohort in Ecuador, with further groundwork already being laid in other LATAM countries.
