The airport's ground surveillance system did not generate an alert warning of the close proximity of vehicles to the runway.

Seconds after granting the truck permission to cross the runway, the ground controller urgently called on the vehicles to stop. He uses the word "stop" ten times.

Heilige Scheiße... eine CRJ-900 von Air Canada Express ist beim verlassen der Landebahn mit knapp über 20 Knoten mit einem Feuerwehrfahrzeug kollidiert. Das Cockpit ist völlig zerstört. Es soll dutzende Verletzte und evtl einige Tote geben.
