Still reflecting on how powerful it was to be in community with so many kind, caring, thoughtful, smart people at #ACH2024. It meant so much to spend a challenging week in your company, and I’m grateful for our fantastic planning team who approached the work with intention and love 🫶

It’s my 1st day back on campus after 3 weeks of intense WFH in the lead up to #ACH2024. It was hard being away at such a busy time but I’m glad I did it. It was just the reset I needed even if I’m still exhausted. Hoping it can sustain me thru the coming weeks. Here’s to y’all finding your reset

One last ICYMI since there's been a follower explosion here. Seanna Viechweg and I posted our #ACH2024 talk on "speculative digital pedagogies." Written before the election, but I think the thoughts about pasts, presents, and futures work in digital pedagogy are all the more timely.

A digitally drawn image showing an ivory tower cracked in half, with a large potato pushing the two pieces of the tower apart using its green vines. A pile of smaller potatoes is at the bottom of the tower, with vines winding up inside the tower helping. The word "SoliDHarity" (a pun on "solidarity" and "DH", the latter of which is short for "digital humanities") appears in green calligraphic font, followed by the subtitle "growing stronger than the ivory tower". Someone had too much fun in Photoshop on a Saturday night, lol (me).

@walshbr.bsky.social @pollock.bsky.social @plach.bsky.social @grubstreetwomen.bsky.social @crystaljluo.bsky.social I realized too late we can't add images to our #ACH2024 resource doc, but for some reason I made whatever this is? Thank you all for your righteous anger+allyship Thursday!

The folks who put that conference on in the middle of the worst week.

Chocolate.

Crying.

Walking.

Talking.

In a #ACH2024 lightning talk session with lots of (not only) grad students making databases, I'm struck by how much progress we've made in the last 10 years. People are thinking of their data as data and not first as website. Long term stability is part of the conversation. It's beautiful to see.

We'll be gathering for a brief closing session where we'll hold space for folks to reflect on our time together and how we can keep our community going, especially in the coming days, months, years #ACH2024 (2/2)

#ACH2024 is drawing to a close. I'm grateful to have spent the past 3 days together. I'm awed by the range of powerful and inspiring work y'all are doing. And I'm comforted by the care this community showed each other this week (1/2)

So grateful to y'all at @neh-odh.bsky.social for spending these days with the #ACH2024 community. It's been a bright light in a difficult, dark week, and I feel gifted by your presence.

I'm sorry to be missing #ACH2024! I JUST submitted a giant project and am only slowly reemerging from the chaos. I am really hoping to catch up with friends & colleagues in the coming months, now that I can see straight.

Reflecting on a lot of what I'm hearing at #ACH2024: find your people, build your coalitions, keep working in small ways, cling to hope. #DigitalHumanities can help us resist and transform our neoliberal institutions

It was such a joy talking about my journey into data physicalization as part of the "Crafting Digital Humanities" panel at #ACH2024. Here's an abbreviated video of the evolution of my sleep/insomnia visualization (Feb 9-Nov 1) #DHmakes

We're so proud to be piloting 7 regional hubs at #ACH2024. These hubs are creating and nurturing in-person communities for engaging in our virtual conference. Huge shoutout to Matthew Hannah (not on Bsky) for conceptualizing/managing this pilot 🤩

I am a terrible photographer so didn't do a great job capturing the moment- but the Midwest crew enjoyed sandwiches while watching the Archival Resistance and Cultural Access panel yesterday at #ACH2024 @juliapoly.bsky.social, Maria Jose Afanador, and Mohammed Rashid were amazing.

Hey #ach2024 -- Meghan & I are hanging out in Work Adventure with our poster, "Barriers to Bust? Exploring constraints, knowledge, & infrastructure in enriched data project management." Come and chat, or just lurk and share the virtual space for a bit.

Such cool work! I don't think Danielle Reay is on Bluesky, but she codirects the Drew University Center for DH Scholarship & Pedagogy. From Danielle's #ACH2024 talk, an example of the ornate historical initials students digitized from the archive+recreated using 3D printing, laser engraving #DHmakes

And so grateful for the space we put together for the #ACH2024 workshop yesterday titled "In SoliDHarity: Forming, Practicing, and Defending our Values." So much gratitude, love, and solidarity to co-facilitators.

A large poster image describing the CoKL database. There is text and a large cockle shell at top, with several screen images of the database system below. One shows entries for St. Aldheim, another compares the calendars of five manuscripts, etc

Today's presentation of my Data Sanctorum poster for #ACH2024 reminded me that I haven't introduced my CoklDB project: www.cokldb.org, except to mention new BOH. A short intro: Corpus Kalendarium (Cokl) is a relational database built from the calendars in Books of Hours.

Fully cooked after a talk and workshop today for #ACH2024 but also so needed the energies from the folks I saw and talked with today ❤️❤️ and so much love and solidarity to the crew doing the challenging work of keeping the conference going right now.
