Big fan of Dunk defending Egg to his uncle Baelor - Dunk has Egg's back.

I'm irritated in general (not with the show) that Dunk had to come up with 6 champions in something like six hours or whatever. Give my boy some time!

We had good introductions to all but one of Dunk's team.

Great episode, I have read the novella so I was not surprised when Baelor rode up to be Dunk's seventh. Lisa was surprised but acknowledged that it made sense.

I liked how Baelor had to work on getting his helmet off, since it isn't his armor, it is his son Valarr's tourney gear.

I'm also pleased that everyone uniformly is happy with Baelor Targaryen. I feel it is important for the audience to really be engaged with that character, since Dunk thinks so highly of him, a sentiment passed down from Ser Arlan who so highly respected Baelor.)

I loved the Master of the Games - when admitting that he was joking about the impalement torture device called the Ashford Chair - followed up with "This is the Reach, not the Riverlands" which reminded me when Nurse Dana on -

#AKOTSKSpoiler - the copper penny (with a seven pointed star I think) - we see that Ser Arlan of Pennytree had a penny in the hilt of his sword, which was a lovely detail I thought.

Gah, typo/bad sentence in previous #AKOTSKSpoiler post, obviously I meant to say Tyrion's advice to Jon Snow was in line with Lyonel's advice to Dunk. Somehow Jon Snow's name was left out by my traitorous typing thumbs.

I was ready for everyone to be dismissive and dickish to Dunk, so I was pleasantly surprised how Dunk's earnestness seemed to soften some folks (not all, of course) - the Master of the Game's giving him a hard time but at the end of the -

Speaking of Tyrion, I was not expecting Lyonel Baratheon to remind me so much of Tyrion Lannister (complimentary) - him telling Dunk to Be Tall was quite in line with Tyrion's advice to embrace his bastard status as armor.

If it offended you, I appreciate your feelings and I'm not trying to change your mind, I just think it was an effective -

#AKOTSKSpoiler - I thought it was an effective way to show how Dunk is a relatable, grounded regular guy. We assume Ned Stark pooped on occasion, but we have no proof. This kind of highlights how disadvantaged and normal Dunk is, as he has regular concerns.

Solidly loves how they took Dunk's inner monologue out of his head and into a conversation with his horses.

I know that there was a negative reaction to Dunk holding the sword and us having some strains of the GoT theme, before the hard pivot to him pooping behind the tree BUT -
