The ANES at 75: Historical Trends Consistency in the ANES study allows researchers to identify and track historical trends in polarization and partisan alignment over time.

In recognition of the #ANES75th, UM's Center for Political Studies asked scholars what historical trends the study has captured. Two prevailing themes: Increasing polarization and partisan alignment around issues of race.
