RCC was at #APMC13 last week. RCC Director Jake Carroll (@zebrax0r.bsky.social) was part of a closing panel discussing emerging solutions for managing large datasets.
Jake & RCC's Mark Endrei were also part of leading a pre-conf. workshop on microscopy data management, with #UQ as a test case.
Found a place for my new microscope π¬ that I acquired at #APMC13 #ACMM28 Took longer to install than I thought π thanks Zeiss Australia & NZ @australianmms.bsky.social @micro-au.bsky.social
IYKYK B.T.Bollard has left #APMC13 #ACMM28 in Brisbane & is heading to Sydney for #ACMM29 in 2027! @australianmms.bsky.social @micro-au.bsky.social
Well done everyone - looks like it's been a great week. And thanks for all your support! #APMC13 #ACMM28 #IMC21 π¬π @australianmms.bsky.social
@australianmms.bsky.social We love microscopy! Thx for visiting our booth at #APMC13 #ACMM28 - we enjoyed meeting you! See you #IMC21 @royalmicrosoc.bsky.social
@aimi-uts.bsky.social @australianmms.bsky.social Our very own Dr Amy Bottomley presents a talk on potential reuse of student prac data at #APMC13 #ACMM28 π
Attended the talk by @digmanlab.bsky.social at the #APMC13 meeting. I knew of the #Phasor plots for #FLIM but didnβt know you could resolve emission spectra. Need to know how that can be achievedβ¦
A massive thanks to @sturalph.bsky.social @ijayas.bsky.social, Donna Whelan, Ashley Rozario, and Dawson Ling for a fantastic session and discussion on expansion microscopy yesterday at #APMC13
We've got a session coming up today @ #APMC13 in the session starting at 11:45 am on Managing the Deluge of #ResearchData with Modern Tools for Data Orchestration and Management.

Prof. Dylan Owen @owenlabuob.bsky.social and team are building an open database of single-molecule localisation microscopy #SMLM data representing the distribution of proteins in cells called nano-org β another great talk at #APMC13!
Check it out here: nano-org.bham.ac.uk
Amazing first day at #APMC13! The #ThermoFisherScientific Phenom XL SEM was most popular - image samples 100 x 100 mm or as many as 36 pin stubs, plus integrated BSD, SED and EDS detectors, automation... The XL pushes the boundaries of desktop SEM! Use it yourself today! #AMMS
If you are in Brisbane for #APMC13 , you can find our new technologies in the Exhibition Area !

What a great set of speakers at the #APMC13 Scanning Probe Microscopy session - really nice to see the work being done using innovative approaches to scanning probe.
Attended the talk given by @sonjzzz.bsky.social at the #APMC13 meeting. Saw a few familiar names being mentioned.
Prof. Kelly Rogers delivers a wonderful tribute to Spencer Shorte at #APMC13 #ACMM28. Spencer Shorte was a huge advocate for core imaging facilities & has contributed enormously to the microscopy community around the world. He was known & well-respected by many @australianmms.bsky.social members.
Attended a talk by Kedar Narayan at the #APMC13 meeting and unexpectedly heard @zebrafish007.bsky.social in press paper mentioned. Itβs a small world.
Incredible keynote talk by Li-An Chu at #APMC13, highlighting axially swept lightsheet microscopy for ultra-fast volumetric imaging.
A wonderful tribute to the memory of Spencer Shorte.
π¬ #APMC13 is in full swing in Brisbane! From Feb 2-7, 2025, experts in electron, X-ray, and light microscopy are coming together to push the boundaries of science.

A laminated piece of red paper reading "0 minutes remain. Finish in one sentence. No questions"
Very thankful that all 11 (!) speakers in the Image Analysis and AI session that I chaired at #APMC13 kept to time and made my job easy. Didn't even have to use the aggressive red card I was provided.
Wouldn't mind having one for my office though...
Deniz Saltukoglu from @globalbioimaging.bsky.social, a key #foundingGIDE partner, will spotlight the project at #APMC13 & the foundingGIDE Community Event (Oct 17-18, 2025 in Brisbane)!
