When I was eight years old our dog died and my dad buried it under a Mimosa tree in the back yard. That same year, the old lady across the road died and they buried her in a family cemetery in their yard near a huge oak tree. I remember riding by Memory Gardens Cemetery later and wondering if none of the people buried there had yards, or trees, or if their families just didn't love them like we loved our dog, or like our neighbors loved their granny.

A closer look at the second of the two Bradley's Spleenwort specimens. This is another example of the dark stipe coloration extending up the rachis. Color variation of some fronds is also present. These photos were taken in November, 2025. (3/4)
