The passing of Andreas Acrivos is a big loss for our @apsphysics.bsky.social #apsdfd community, where we have had a prize with his name for almost 3 decades now. If you are curious about him, here's a nice conversation he recorded talking about his life and career

Here's a quick video version of my #APSDFD talk on how I organize research notes: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bdw... #scicomm #writing #pkm
Absolutely agree with you. But I also find it very hard to justify (to myself) the GHG impact of a EU-US flight, given the short duration of #APSDFD. It is a conundrum and things are not going to get any easier. Therefore I feel two times sad.
Thanks #APSDFD for 3 days of drops, bubbles, impacts, slips, slides, squeezes, shakes, bounces and ducks! 🦆
(note the #PRFluids chief editor in the first seconds 👋)
Really tiny duckies this year at the #APSDFD, but cute nevertheless 😏
Ever wondered how porous particles settle in a density stratification? Check out our entry to the Gallery of Fluid Motion!!
Also come to my talk at DFD:
R28.00005, Room: 251 F, Monday at 2:42pm.

Specially nice to see a few #APSDFD 2024 attendees, see you guys in Salt Lake City!
I'm not going to #APSDFD this year, but I just came across this photograph of my invited lecture in Washington last year. Best wishes to all those going to Salt Lake City this year. Travel safely! #fluiddynamics
At Seattle, #apsdfd was again a wonderful conference... see you soon
