Last week, I attended my first #ASHE24 conference. I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with many higher education scholars. One of my favorite parts of the conference was witnessing our UB Graduate School of Education faculty, Paris Wicker, Ph.D., accept her Dissertation of the Year Award.

This #ASHE24 felt special after having so many of my brilliant #HowardU graduate students present their research. We’re a small but mighty program, and I’m extra #HBCU proud today.

Adjusting back to normal life after being away from my family for nearly a week.
#ASHE24 was beyond what I could have imagined it would be. And as great of a time we had, I know next year is going to be even better.
Grateful I get to curate spaces of Black joy—we deserve.

I enjoyed my 1st #ASHE24! I met & learned from great scholars, spent time w/ a friend, & had the unexpected chance to catch up w/ an old student from my GTA days at SF State & who is now a PhD student in Higher Ed 🩵 Also enjoyed the confused double takes when I shared I was in a Cell Biology dept 😂
