Health IT heavy weights talking about how messy healthcare data seems to directly highlight some big public health challenges. If 90% of your time is spent cleaning the data in a low resource environment, that is an even bigger problem, especially across many healthcare data sources. #ASTP2024

What is most exciting about AI in Healthcare? 1. Getting answers to questions we don't know yet. 2. Gen AI is giving people the chance to voice their needs. 3. Gen AI can massively improve provider burnout problems. 4. So much science/biology discovery #ASTP2024

Generative AI is being trained on medical histories, and are biased due to that data. How do you measure bias in AI? How do I monitor based on that definition? You can't manage what you don't know, so transparency is criticial. #ASTP2024

How do we address bias? There's a lot of unknowns and much learning is coming. Good governance will have to come from trusted partners. Testing will need to happen to learn where bias is coming from. #ASTP2024
