Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey together in #ASongisBorn (1948, Howard Hawks). Trumpet, Trombone and Clarinet. Three of the most influential jazz, big band and swing musicians of their time (and all-time), brought together for one spectacular jam session.

While inferior to the original ("Ball of Fire"), the amount of musicians from the era who appear in #ASongisBorn (1948, Howard Hawks) is remarkable and makes this a must see.

Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Tommy Dorsey, the Golden Gate Quartet and many more. It's an incredible cast.

#ASongisBorn was one of the final films of Felix Bressert, who died early in 1949. He was part-way through filming "My Friend Irma" when he passed away at 57 years old of Leukemia.

An actor who makes every film he's in better.

Despite watching over 2,000 classic films, I realized today I have only ever seen 1 Danny Kaye film (you can guess which one).

I'm excited to explore his filmography more, starting with #ASongisBorn (1948, Howard Hawks) 🎵 A musical remake of 1941's Ball of Fire.
