Working on the #AStandardDeviation demo for Steam and thought it would be cool to end it with a teaser montage thingy that would pique the player's curiosity.
What do you think?

A propos, this #ScreenshotSaturday I show you the tool I sometime use to test dialogues. It has a pink background right now because I need to chroma key it for the new trailer I'm making for the new Steam page of #AStandardDeviation. #GameDev #SoloDev #MadeWithGodot
Reworking some rooms of the Tower to give them a side view.
Removing half of a degree of freedom eliminates the artificial difficulty that some testers found. But also reinforces the idea that the player is actually climbing to the top of the Tower.

These past holidays I've been refining some interactions and fixing some issues that came out of some recent playtests.
A couple of those things are new sprites and vfxs for the items menu and radio. What do you think of them?

This #ScreenshotSaturday I present the second playable character of #AStandardDeviation: Rougeanne, captain of the space-pirates.
She is playable only for a small portion of the game but hopefully her unique toolset and more combat-oriented playstyle will make up for that.

This week I've been working on some cutscenes for #AStandardDeviation.
The campfire cutscenes will provide some downtime and humour and hopefully they will spark some curiosity towards the lore of the island and of the universe of the game.

Screenshot of gameplay with new tone mapping. The flowers' colors are brighter.
For today's #ScreenshotSaturday I'll show some tone-mapping changes I made to #AStandardDeviation.
The core mechanic is that pretty much everything can be fragmented into colored copies. With this fragments should be easier to see.
Here is a before and after of the changes.

Lately I've been focusing more on things other than gameplay or #vfx. But today I have something worthy of a #ScreenshotSaturday.
Some rooms have a diamond that interact with lasers, making objects in the room appear or disappear.

Gameplay GIF showing the player character moving through some enemies. After avoid some snakes the player catches a turtle with a net to move it out of the way.
First #ScreenshotSaturday here on bluesky. This week I've worked on some enemies and interactions for A Standard Deviation.
The net is an unlock-able item that can be used to move objects or creatures that the player can't push.
