Alarm company called to report fire detection at our house. Because I couldn’t call or look at our cameras because of the #attoutage, I had to drive home to check in person. No fire. Then I had to drive back to campus, where I have internet, to call alarm company back and tell them all was well.

Only impacting AT&T. Other carriers are showing impact from not being able to contact AT&T, and are confirming that their systems are fine #ATTOutage

General scientific guess is that it's related to NOAA's report of a giant solar flare that caused an issue for AT&T.

The other carriers are reporting their systems are fine, but show up on DownDetector because their users are having difficulty communicating with AT&T-dependent accounts. #ATTOutage

FWIW Mint / T-mobile and Verizon connectivity are fine in the area north of Nashville, TN, around Goodlettsville. Just ATT (and anything using their networks) seems to be out in this ATT Outage. #ATTOutage
